Nevada
Law Areas of Practice: Breach of Trust/Fiduciary Duty
Breach of trust/fiduciary
duty. A trustee owes the highest standard of care (ie. fiduciary duty). This duty
is breached when the trustee fails to act in the best interest of the beneficiary.
Nevada courts offer protection for individuals harmed by breach of this
fiduciary duty; however, it is not always easy to know when a breach has occurred.
There are signs to look for, so it is important to know your legal rights. These
causes of action often arise in the elderly community or among persons relying
on others in a position of trust.
